About Horizon Bridge Foundation
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit building the bridge between orphanhood and adulthood for young people in Belize.

Our Mission
We build the bridge that connects aging-out youth to a horizon of lifelong independence.
Orphanages in Belize do a good job raising the children in their care. The gap opens at eighteen, when kids age out with nowhere to go and no real preparation for the workforce. Many fall straight into poverty, exploitation, or homelessness.
Horizon Bridge Foundation fills that gap. We provide targeted job training, life-skills coaching, and a transition plan so these young adults leave care with the tools to find work, pay rent, and build a stable life on their own.
We don't just send them out into the world when they turn eighteen — we empower them to step confidently into the workforce, transforming vulnerability into lasting self-reliance.
Founder Story

This started with my cousin.
We share the same birthday, so we've always been close. She went on a mission trip to Belize and ended up helping at an orphanage there. She loved it so much that my aunt flew down too — and came home with two adopted daughters.
But something didn't sit right. The girls had a brother still down there. So my aunt went back, stayed half a year, and brought him home too. I have three cousins from Belize now.
Talking to them and my aunt, one thing kept coming up: the orphanage is run well, but when kids age out, there's nothing to prepare them for a real job. No resume help, no interview practice, no trade training, no place to land. That's the gap we're trying to fill.
Horizon Bridge Foundation exists so that the next kid who turns eighteen at that orphanage — and the one after that — has somewhere to step into. Not a handout. A bridge.
We don't just want them out into the world when they turn eighteen — we want to empower them to step confidently into the workforce, transforming vulnerability into lasting self-reliance.
